Disaster Information from the Harrier Club of America
Hurricane, tornado, earthquake, fire, flood, pandemic --- we’re all facing emergencies. If you ever have to evacuate, you want to evacuate your pets as well. Be prepared ahead of time and protect your pets with a disaster plan.
A disaster plan will have many components. For example, there’s organizing medical and immunization records, and extra supplies such as food, bedding, poop bags, toys, etc. More challenging is something such as crate-training. It will take time and effort, but it is important to evacuating your pets. They’ll be easier to transport and it will give them a safe place in the midst of a stressful situation.
